Workcloud registers Japanese national holidays for the following year in the system after their announcement in the official gazette at the beginning of February each year.
When “Use national holidays: On” is set, Japanese national holidays registered in Workcloud are automatically reflected.
If the “Use national holidays: Off” setting is selected, please follow the steps below to reflect the Japanese national holidays for the following year.
The national holidays set here will be reflected in the employee's monthly timesheet and the calendar for paid leave management.
Note: You cannot change “Off→On” or “On→Off” in operation. This is because it will affect the employees' past timesheets, etc.

Where to find the “Use national holidays” setting
In the following locations, you can see whether your company uses the “Use national holidays” setting On or Off.
① Click on ADMINS [Company settings].
② Click on “Leave” - “Vacation policies”.
③ The “Use national holidays” under “Public holiday policies” is set to “Off” or “On”.
If “Off” is selected, please follow the steps below to reflect the Japanese national holidays calendar.
Note: You cannot change “Off→On” or “On→Off” in operation. This is because it will affect the employees' past timesheets, etc.
Reflect Japan's national holidays
If the “Use national holidays: Off” setting is selected, follow the steps below to reflect Japanese holidays for the following year.
① Click on ADMINS [Company settings].
② Click on “Leave” - “Company holidays”.
③ Select the year for which you want to create the holiday.
(e.g.) Select “2026” because this year is 2025 and the next year, 2026, is to be created.
④ Select “Holiday template.”
⑤ Select “Copy national holidays.”
⑥ Japanese national holidays will be copied in the target year.
If your company has official holidays (anniversary of the company's founding, summer vacation, year-end and New Year's vacations, etc.), please proceed to the next section, “Set the company's official holidays”. If your company does not have official holidays, please proceed to “Reflect holidays in company location”.
Set the company's official holidays
This is set if your company has official holidays other than Japanese national holidays (anniversary of the company's founding, summer vacation, year-end and New Year's vacations, etc.) as defined by the company.
① Click on “Add new.”
② Set the “Date” of the official holiday, “Holiday name” for the name, and “Holiday English name” for the English name.
Notes: The “Holiday English name” is used when Workcloud is displayed in English. When it is not set and displayed in English, the name set in “Holiday name” will be reflected.
③ Click on “Save.”
The message “Added a special holiday on XX month XX day” will appear at the top of the screen.
④ The added company's official holiday is now also reflected in the list.
If your company has more than one official holiday, repeat steps ① through ③.
Reflect holidays in company location
You reflect Japanese national holidays and company official holidays in your company location.
If your company has multiple registered company locations with the same holidays, they can be reflected at once.
Separate reflection is also possible.
① Click on “Copy to locations.”
② Check the company location to be reflected.
If your company has multiple company locations, please check all the boxes you wish to reflect.
③ Click on “Save.”
The top of the screen will display “Copied holidays to selected locations.” appears at the top of the screen.
④ The number reflected is shown in the “Holidays” of the reflected company location name.
You select the name of your company location and you will see the Japanese holidays and your company official holidays reflected.
<Delete unnecessary your company official holidays>
If you want to delete a specific company official holiday from a specific location after applying the same content to multiple locations in the “Reflect holidays in company location” section, please follow the steps below.
① Select the name of the company location from which you wish to delete official holiday.
② Click “✖” to the right of the holiday name to be deleted.
③ Read the message and click “Yes”. The corresponding official holiday will be deleted.
