When admins change employee family members information, settings utilizing the “Effective period” are available.
(When employees change them, the screen does not display the “Effective till” field.)
By setting an effective till, you can terminate the effective period for employees' divorced family members.
Additionally, when changes occur to employees' family dependents (such as dependent deduction status), setting a new effective from (date) allows you to maintain separate records for the same family member before and after the change. This results in different payroll calculations before and after the effective from (date).
<Important Notes>
If you delete registered data using the “Delete” button, you cannot re-register data with the same name and date of birth as the deleted entry.
Therefore, if you wish to terminate a dependent deduction mid-term, set an effective till instead of deleting the data.

Changes to family dependency deductions, etc
By setting a new effective from (date), you can maintain separate records for the same family members before and after the change.
This will also change the payroll calculation results before and after the effective date.
① Enter the employee ID or name (Kanji/Katakana/English) of the target employee to search.
② Open the “Manage employees > Settings > Family members” screen.
Then click “Edit” for the family name whose registration details you wish to change.
③ The “Effective from” specifies the date on which the registered information changes.
④ Set or enter the changes to be made.
*The example above shows that this family member will start working on March 1, 2026, and will no longer be a dependent of the employee.
⑤ Uncheck the box for “This change is a correction.”
Click on “Save.”
⑥ The day before the date specified in ③ “Effective from” is registered as the end date.
A new record has been created with the date specified in “Effective from” as the start date.
*The example above shows that the employee was the dependent until the day before the specified effective date (February 28, 2026). From the specified effective date of March 1, 2026, the dependent status is no longer in effect.
Checked “This change is a correction”
We recommend using this record without checking the box, as it will be registered as a correction.
If you set the “Effective from” to a date after the previously registered effective date, it will correct the current record, creating a gap with the previous record.
Additionally, if you change the registered content without changing the “Effective from,” the current record will be overwritten. This may also affect amounts if past salaries are recalculated retroactively.
