Note: From 2022, it is possible to submit digital files for small-medium enterprise (SME) mutual insurance premium deduction certificates (e.g. iDeCo), and from 2023, social insurance premium deduction certificates (national pension), but neither of these cannot be uploaded to Workcloud.
Please enter the information in the subject screen and submit it on evidence cover page as you did last year.
If you have insurance payment data file to upload, mark “I have files to upload” then click ”Next” to proceed.
If you do not have any insurance payment data file to upload, mark “I do not have any files to upload” then click “Next” to proceed.
■To upload
Click “Select file” then select the file you want to upload to the system.
Note1: If there are multiple files, click “Select file” → select all the files you want to upload→ click “Upload.”
Note2: Depending on your smartphone device, you may not be able to upload files. If you wish to upload files, we recommend that you do so from a PC.
Review the contents then click “Import.”
The contents of the uploaded digital files will be reflected in each insurance from "12. General life insurance" to "15. Earthquake insurance payments deduction". Please confirm on the appropriate screen. (The above figure is an example of "General life insurance")

In rare cases, the electronic certificate from the insurance company may expire, or you may not be able to upload for other reasons.
In such cases, messages like the one shown below will be displayed.
Please confirm with the issuing insurance company according to the contents. If you are unable to upload the file after confirming, please contact us.

12. General life insurance
If you do not have any life insurance to declare, mark “No” then click “Next” to proceed.
If you have deductible life insurance, please have the deduction certificate from the insurance company on hand and check "Yes".
★In year-end tax adjustment after October 2024, it can be omitted to specify the beneficiary relationship of general life insurance deductions. If the beneficiary is someone other than yourself, please select “Other” in the “Beneficiary” field.
★To declare the policy holder as your “Spouse,” select “Spouse” and enter the policyholder's name.
Differences in the category you select
・New General Premiums General life insurance under the new system (policies concluded on or after January 1, 2012)
・Old General Premiums General life insurance under the old system (policies concluded before December 31, 2011)
Please make sure that the deduction certificate is for general life insurance and that it is for this year. Separate steps will be available to enter nursing care / medical insurance and private pension insurance.
Note: If you have already uploaded your general life insurance in "11. Digital life insurance", it will be reflected in this screen.

For the "Premium amount," enter the "申告額 (Declared amount)" shown on the deduction certificate (i.e., the amount paid from January to December). If you receive a deductible certificate and then cancel that policy during this year, the amount you enter may change. Ask your insurance company if you are unsure.
Click the “+ Add” button if you need to declare multiple policies.
Click "Next" when you have completed all inputs.
Note: If you wish to save your input and exit the wizard, click "Save & exit wizard".

Enter the amount of the "証明額 (Certified amount)." The "証明額 (Certified amount)" is the amount you have paid up to the date of proof, e.g., mid-year cancellation.

13. Nursing care / medical insurance premiums
If you do not have any nursing care / medical insurance premiums to declare, mark “No” then click “Next” to proceed.
If you have deductible nursing care / medical insurance premiums, please have the deduction certificate from the insurance company on hand and check "Yes".

For the "Premium amount," enter the "控除対象保険料" shown on the deduction certificate (i.e., the amount paid from January to December). If you receive a deductible certificate and then cancel that policy during this year, the amount you enter may change. Ask your insurance company if you are unsure.

16. Other social insurance
If you have not paid any social insurance premiums directly, mark “No” then click “Next” to proceed.
If you paid for any national pension or health insurance premiums, mark “Yes.”
★In year-end tax adjustment after October 2024, it will can be omitted to specify the policy holder relationship of other social insurance (the person who is supposed to pay the insurance). If the policy holder is someone other than yourself, please select “Other” in the “Policy holder” field.
★Since other social insurance do not require declaration of the “Beneficiary,” Workcloud has removed the input field this year.
From 2023, it will be possible to submit digital files for social insurance (national pension) deduction certificates, but Workcloud does not yet support this. Please enter the amount and submit certificate on evidence cover page.

17. Small-medium enterprise (SME) mutual insurance
premium
If you are not declaring any deduction for SME mutual insurance premium, mark “No” then click “Next” to proceed.
If you have deductible SME mutual insurance premium, please have the payment certificate from the National Pension Fund Association on hand and check "Yes".
*Please make sure that the payment certificate is for this year.
From 2022, it will be possible to submit digital files for SME mutual insurance premium (iDeCo, etc.) deduction certificates, but Workcloud does not yet support this. Please enter the amount and submit certificate on evidence cover page.

Enter the required information.
Enter individual pension subscriber premiums (iDeCo) and company pension subscriber premiums in their spaces.
Click "Next" when you have completed all inputs.
